We have more than 25 years’ experience of designing and delivering learning and development journeys at all levels, using a cost-effective mix of bespoke solutions and tried-and-tested programmes and materials.

Individual contributors

We offer world class instructor-led training for individual contributors, delivered in English or local languages across the globe.

Whether you’re looking to plug a specific skills gap (around communication skills, perhaps, or time and priority management) on an ad hoc basis, or a more ambitious rolling programme of short courses or bite-sized sessions covering a number of topics, we have a wide range of tried-and-tested one-day modules and bite-sized virtual sessions for you to choose from without breaking the budget by reinventing the wheel. 

Or we can design sessions specifically for you.

And anything we deliver can be tailored to adapt to the requirements of different local or business cultures as required.

New managers

Think back to when you first became a line manager. What do you wish you’d known from the start? If you’ve got a cohort of people about to take up line management roles, or who’ve only done so quite recently, you might think about offering them a tried-and-tested one-day programme to quickly get them up to speed. Management essentials might fit the bill.

For UK audiences, Managing people within the law is also very popular.

Leaders

In this context, we’re talking about managers of managers, those just below director level.

At this stage in their careers, they’re probably not looking to spend too much time in the classroom. That’s why our Pivotal leader programme puts the emphasis on self-directed learning and one-to-one coaching. It’s structured for real-world application, ensuring leaders not only learn but implement their learning effectively.

As an alternative to structured programmes, with more of a focus on individual career planning, it’s at this level that coaching and mentoring really come into their own.

Aspiring managers

Not everyone wants to be a manager. Rather than automatically promoting technically competent people to inappropriate team leader or manager roles, to everyone’s disappointment, why not give your aspiring managers a taster of what’s involved, to help decide whether it really is for them? That’s the idea behind our very popular one-day programme, So, you want to manage people?

Managers

For managers with a year or two’s experience under their belts who are now looking to stretch themselves, a structured programme is often what’s needed. Our ‘flagship’ Management development programme is a tried-and-tested programme that’s proved itself in the UK, across Europe and now globally. It’s been delivered in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish and Portuguese: other languages available on request.

The modular nature of the programme lends itself to tailoring for those organisations with specific requirements or preferences. It can be streamlined, for those on a budget, or extended with additional topics (whether traditional management topics or more business-oriented subjects such as finance, project management, commercial awareness, sales and business development, etc). And it can be delivered with or without 360s and psychometrics, actors, one-to-one coaching, action learning sets, etc, etc.

We’re also more than happy to design and deliver management development programmes on an entirely bespoke basis, to match your specific requirements.

Directors

At this level, we share resources with our sister organisation, The Boardroom Effectiveness Company. We offer training, coaching and consultancy in all aspects of the role – from the corporate governance responsibilities of individual directors, to boardroom dynamics and behaviours, to formal board reviews.
