Katy Grêlé, Head of Learning and Development at Legoland Windsor, talks about some of the work we have done for her in recent years:

“Legoland Windsor is a seasonal business; during the winter we have a skeleton staff of around 155 people, supplemented by around 1,200 seasonal workers throughout the summer months. It’s a tough challenge to deliver our business goals with a brand new team of people within a seven month window. This is where Maximum Performance came in. They helped us to develop a guest service philosophy (we call it ‘Making the Difference’) to enable us to quickly and effectively immerse our staff into a world of guest service. This philosophy is delivered through a number of different outlets, from training, to games and activities, to communication meetings, has been in place since 2006 and is still going strong.”

“The other aspect to our work with Maximum Performance is Management Development. Through this they have helped us to tackle two key areas: development of mid to senior managers (including a fantastic 360 degree feedback programme, an amazing annual two day management training event for 60 managers, and one to one career coaching), as well as development of brand new managers, helping them to make that change from being ‘one of the guys’ to ‘one of the managers’.”

“Aside from this, Maximum Performance have been a superb support to the park on a number of ad hoc projects, including undertaking ‘facilitation skills training’ for our Induction Team and delivery of ‘Department Specific’ feedback meetings to help improve cross-function communication.
