Elizabeth is our Coaching Practice Director. She is one of the 1% of coaches in the world to have attained the coveted International Coach Federation (ICF) Master Certified Coach credential and is also a former Director of ICF UK. She has over 25 years of expertise in coaching and development in the UK and abroad, and has been a pioneer in introducing internal coaching to the Civil Service. Organisations and companies Elizabeth has worked with include 10 Downing Street staff, NHS, De Lage Landen, Housing Corporations, Royal Museums, BIG Lottery Fund, UK Power Networks, Trainline and Pearson Publishing.
Her previous roles include co-founding a training and consultancy partnership that focused on developing leaders and managers in private and public sector companies and as a consultant to head up learning and development for the Bermudian Civil Service. She joined the UK Legal Services Commission in 2000 where she became Head of Learning and Development, a senior member of the HR team responsible for setting direction and delivering strategic leadership development, talent managing and coaching solutions to create a high performance organisation. Over the last 10 years she has shared her experience with a number of public sector departments including the MoJ, Department of Health and DFID to help establish coaching cultures. She has trained over 2,000 managers and leaders in coaching skills, resulting in improved personal and team effectiveness, greater staff engagement and a coaching approach to managing performance. She has also delivered more than 10,000 hours of one-to-one executive coaching to a range of public, private and voluntary sector clients.
She joined Maximum Performance as Coaching Practice Director in 2013. Her current work focuses on developing organisational coaching capability, including working with managers to build coaching skills and developing internal coaches for accreditation. Elizabeth provides one-to-one and team coaching, specialising in working with individuals who are moving through personal or professional transitions. Elizabeth has presented at a number of national and international conferences on a range of topics concerning leadership, talent development and coaching. These include the USA Young Presidents Conference, EMCC Conference Sweden, ICF conference Switzerland and several CIPD conferences in the UK. Recently she has presented master classes on coaching and talent development at Roffey Park, ‘Civil Service Live’ and the NHS Leadership Forum.
Elizabeth holds Master’s degrees in Education and Counselling Psychology. She is accredited with the International Coaching Federation as a Master Certified Coach and is a qualified Coach Supervisor. She is a Fellow of the CIPD and a Master NLP Practitioner. She has full Level B certification by the British Psychological Society, and is certified to use a number of psychometric tools and profiling instruments, including MBTI, 16Pf, Hogan, WAVE and FIRO.
