Tariq’s career has seen him work in 25 different countries and across sectors ranging from regulated industries to digital start-ups. He has held roles such as: HR Director, London Business School; Divisional HR Director, RSA (UK / W Europe); and VP HR, VISA (London / Dubai / Moscow / Johannesburg). He has extensive experience in developing talent, building engaged workforces and delivering business change, including leading the people work-stream in the largest IPO in US history.
He is a PCC certified coach with the International Coaching Federation, British Psychological Society qualified and accredited in Hogan, MBTI and Situational Leadership, the latter being a personal passion of his. As are trees and he is fortunate enough to be on the Board of The Tree Council, a leading charity in the UK.
Tariq’s coaching practice is based on the deeply held belief that everyone has more potential than even they know. Coaching helps individuals and teams recognise this, begin to understand what this can mean for them, and ultimately enable them to realise their potential.
Beginning life as a performance coach, Tariq’s background includes being a professional sportsman before holding a range of executive leadership roles. This has shaped his approach to coaching which balances the drive for performance with a focus on listening with real empathy. His coaching work is person-centred, seeking to really understand you as the unique individual that you are and the context in which you operate. Through conversation, connections are created to help you learn, grow and perform.

The majority of Tariq’s clients are leaders in organisations that are experiencing some form of change. This may be business change or change that is more specific to them as individuals and their careers. Additionally, Tariq works with individuals identified as key talent that organisations have invested in and supports them as they progress through leadership development programmes.
