A CIPD Learning and Development Survey highlighted the gap between the proportion of organisations using coaching activities (79%) and the proportion providing their managers with coaching skills training (47%).

When asked in a more recent survey which learning and development practices they most commonly used, ‘coaching by line managers or peers’ came third. And when asked which were the most effective, it came second (after ‘on the job training’).

Both surveys clearly show coaching ‘punching above its weight’ and clearly indicating that organisations should be investing more in coaching capability.

We have therefore developed a range of programme focused on helping individuals develop their coaching skills. The workshop summaries below provide a guide for the focus and content of each programme but they can all be tailored to the client’s specific requirements.
